Chinese Russet-Splashed Black Glazed Bowl. Of conical shape rising to a flared rim, covered overall with a glossy dark brown glaze suffused with golden russet splashes, the glaze stopping neatly above the grayish white stoneware foot ring, base covered with glaze and incised with inscription. {d 9.3 inches (23.6 cm)}.
