Chinese Famille Rose Yellow-Ground Dragon Vase.

The vase of baluster form, rising from a slightly tapered foot to a waisted neck and flared rim, the exterior vividly enameled in the famille rose palette against a rich yellow ground. The body is decorated with sinuous dragons in pursuit of flaming pearls amidst stylized clouds, rendered in bright enamel colors and highlighted with intricate detailing. The neck and shoulder are further adorned with bands of floral and geometric motifs, creating a dense and auspicious decorative scheme. The base bears a Qianlong mark in iron-red, and the overall design reflects later interpretations of imperial decorative styles.
