Chinese Export Porcelain Famille Rose Bowl, Cover, and Stand, a two handled broth bowl, cover and stand, the body with applied entwined branch form handles terminating in gilt leaves, the cover with fruit form gilt knop, and with shallow bowl form underplate. The cover and stand painted with green stylized leaves alternating with pink and orange flowerheads reserved on gilt bands. The bowl sides, cover and well of the plate painted in polychrome enamels with Mandarins at intellectual and governing pursuits. Unmarked. Daoguang period. {Approximate dimensions: 6 1/4" H. x 6 1/2" Diameter, bowl with cover on top. Stand 8 1/4" Diameter.}.
Condition
3/8" chip to stand rim, very shallow, and a flake to rim at 7 o'clock. Loss to handle, one side. Minor surface wear and scratches.
