Chinese silk embroidery, Birds and Flowers. {Each frame measures: 14 3/4 x 17 3/4 inches}.

Provenance: Property of Dr. Ting-Fu Fuller Tsiang (1895-1965), Chinese Ambassador to the United States and Permanent Representative at the United Nations.

Dr. Tsiang acquired the silk embroidery from the Carl Bredemeier Gallery in Buffalo, New York, 1950.

Subsequently in a distinguished private collection in Lafayette, California, assembled over several decades with an unwavering dedication to Japanese and Chinese art. With the generous support of the collector's family, Michaan's Auctions is honored to present selected treasures from this important collection.

 

来源:蒋廷黻博士(Ting-Fu Fuller Tsiang,1895-1965)旧藏。蒋博士曾任中国驻美国大使及常驻联合国代表,于1950年从纽约州布法罗的 Carl Bredemeier Gallery 购得本件丝绣。
