Chinese Cloisonne Box. Of square form with Ruyi shaped corners, overall body painted with cloisonne enamel, the cover of the box adorned with a central jade plaque with two raised Pixiu chasing a ball, encircled by a turquoise Pixiu band and a yellow-ground phoenix band, the interior of the box painted with polychrome bats and lucky clouds against a turquoise ground. {3 1/2 high x 12 3/4 inches wide and deep (9 x 32 1/2 cm)}. Provenance: Austin Hills. Condition: Ask the Asian Art Department for more information.
