Chinese Carved Rosewood Armchair.
Single-seat armchair constructed in hardwood, the back with an openwork carved crest rail and central circular medallion panel decorated in relief with auspicious objects including ritual vessels. The surrounding frame carved with floral sprays and birds, the arms extending to a rectangular seat above a shaped apron with additional relief carving. The sides fitted with carved panels featuring a censer motif. The wood with a deep reddish-brown tone and polished surface. {Approximate dimensions: height 38 inches; width 25 1/4 inches; depth 18 1/4 inches}
Condition
Surface wear, scattered scratches, and minor abrasions consistent with age and use.
