Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Vase. The vase of globular form rising from a short foot to a gently flared mouth rim. Painted in underglaze blue on a pale ground with floral sprays and foliage, interspersed with a crane motif, beneath a band of scrolling decoration and a Greek key border at the shoulder. Applied lion-mask handles flank the shoulder on opposing sides. The interior glazed, the base unglazed, revealing the buff-toned ceramic body. {Approximate dimensions: height 13 1/4 inches}
