Attributed to Tsukioka Yoshitoshi (1839-1892). The Flute by Moonlight, framed triptych of woodblock prints. Center print with Fujiwara Yasumasa playing the flute by midnight. Right print with samurai holding sword in crouching pose near high grasses. Left print with yellow full moon in dark blue sky, above with inscription and chop marks. FUJIWARA YASUMASA GEKKA ROTEKI. Seals and signature panels, with additional inscriptions, to left panel only. Under glass and faux bois brocade mat, in gilt and black lacquered frame. {Sight 14 3/4" x 10" wide (37 1/2 cm x 25 1/2 cm, frame 23 1/4" x 40" (59 cm x 101 1/2 cm)}.
