Art Deco Nymphenburg Painted Porcelain Jar, the oversize vessel of tapering baluster form, with flat cover. Painted with concentric warm black lines, under a band of bright, polychrome enamel cabbage roses, convolvulus, and foliage. Motif repeated to top of cover. Marked to underside base, in green, Nymphenburg, under crown and shield; in black enamel script, "Entwurf Prof. Wackerle Aus H. Noosbauer, 0 739." Label to interior of cover, "20 / 6 Blumennband." Two old adhesive labels to side, possibly provenance and price, ink faded. Circa 1939.

Condition: Scattered minor black dots, pimpling to enamel, one part of a rose; minor losses to enamels; two tiny losses to glazed surface, less than 1/16" each. Minor surface wear and scratches.
