Antique Louis Vuitton Trunk. Rectangular form, monogram print leather with riveted black leather trim and oak slats, brass hardware. The linen lined interior with quilted top, removable tray section. Exterior with black and white painted horizontal stripe, also with numerous travel related labels, most in relation to Italy, Paris, or London. LV markings all throughout, the central latch with "70 CHAMPS ELYSEES PARIS LOUIS VUITTON LONDON ...", lock plate with "049514", rivets and leather to interior also bearing similar marks. Interior label reads "I. PUE SCRIBE PARIS Louis Vuitton 149 NEW BOND ST. LONDON". {Approximate dimensions: 18" high x 32 1/2" wide x 19" deep.}.
Condition
Evidence of use throughout, with worn exterior and loss to travel labels. Patina and rust to metal. Interior with some foxing and staining, tears to straps.
