Antique French Third Republique Silk Cope, the off white field embroidered with gold thread geraniums, lined in thin taupe linen. Circa 1880.

Condition

Request Condition Report

Tear of about 17 3/4" long, shattering toward mid point of one seam, roughly 2" x 6" long, several smaller holes, weave losses and loose threads, one section of lining detached from silk. Some small spot stains and stray marks, discoloration, a few larger stains to underside lining. Shallow scoop neck as made. Please ask the Furniture and Decorative Arts Department for a detailed condition report on this lot.
