Antique Continental Silk Damask Panel Lined in Fustian, with magenta and gold thread woven in foliate and floral designs, including baskets of flowers with leaves, and garlands and feathered scrolls, with band of gilt thread trim to one side. Lined in off white linen. Second quarter, 18th Century.

Wear includes holes primarily along borders and edges/trim where panel was hung or nailed up, loss to corner of about 1 1/2" x 1 1/2",  several tears to edges, gold trim detached in places, stains and fabric losses primarily to underside.
