Artist's Bio:
Andy Jefferson is a British-born artist and printmaker who has been active for more than 40 years. He studied fine art printmaking at Plymouth and Exeter Art Colleges in England before moving to Jamaica in 1982 to teach printmaking at the Jamaica School of Art (now the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts). After six years of teaching, he became a full-time independent artist. Jefferson has held over 20 solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions in Jamaica and internationally. He is best known for his printmaking and mixed media paintings and continues to live and work between the United Kingdom and Jamaica, drawing inspiration from both landscapes.
