American School (19th Century), Two Nautical Scenes, oils on canvases (i) Boats at Sea, signed lower left "W Russel" and (ii) Boat in Harbor, signed lower right "W. Russel;" [approximate dimensions - sight: (i) 10" H x 16 1/4" W, (ii) 10" H x 16 1/4" W].
Condition
(i) Surface dirt and dust, minor craquelure, evidence of previous repair along bottom center measuring 5" x 3/4" with loss. At verso: dust pockets and incomplete keys, framed with glazing, frame has wear, 15" H x 21" W. (ii) Surface dirt and dust, minor craquelure, puncture the size of nail along upper margin, dimple in lower left side. At verso: dust pockets and no keys, framed with glazing, frame has wear: 15" H x 21" W. Ask Fine Art Department for additional photos.
