African Mali Bamana Ntomo Wood and Metal Mask, modeled as the slender head of a horned antelope with banded sheet metal decoration, and two washers near nails, holding the horns in place. Holes for hair toward edge. Mid 20th Century.

{Approximate dimensions: 37" H. x 5 3/4" W. x 6" H.}.

Condition

Request Condition Report

Rubbing to horns, and mask, patination to metal parts, tape residue to one side of head. Hair that would have been attached to the holes, now absent. Please contact the Furniture and Decorative Arts Department for a detailed condition report on this lot.
