Africa, Ivory Coast, Baule Carved Mask of a Female of High Stature, made of black stained wood, the arched headdress over slit eyes and small, protuberant ears to sides, over nose and open mouth. Mounted on blackened steel stand.

Condition
Surface abrasions, wear, rough interior. Raffia clusters for hair, that may have been intended for the holes, never placed within mask.
