A Qing Chinese Wood Figure of Buddha

The Buddha is carved seated in dhyanasana, with both hands resting in the lap in dhyana mudra. The serene face is modeled with downcast eyes, arched brows, elongated earlobes, and a gentle smile, beneath tightly curled hair rising to a domed ushnisha. The figure wears long, flowing robes falling in broad folds across the body and crossed legs, and retains traces of gilding and lacquer. Accompanied by a later carved wood lotus stand.

佛像以木雕成，结跏趺坐，双手相叠置于腹前，结禅定印。面容安详，双目低垂，眉形修长，双耳垂肩，嘴角微含笑意；头饰螺发，顶现圆隆肉髻。身着宽大袈裟，衣褶沿躯体及双腿自然垂落，表面残留漆金及髹漆痕迹。配后制雕刻莲花木座。
清代。
