19th Century Sailor's Folk Art Whale Bone Nautical Painting. Oil on whalebone panel, in chamfered whalebone frame. Scene depicts two whalers in rowboat harpooning a whale, with larger whaling ship in background. {Approximate dimensions: 7 3/8" wide x 4 1/4" high.}.
Condition
Frame with glue repairs to upper corners. Painting surface with some scratches and minor discoloration. Two pegs holding panel to frame missing, visible from reverse.
