Hepplewhite Inlaid Mahogany Butler's Secretary. Top section with dentil moulded crown over glazed two-door top section; the base with large faux drawer workspace concealing niches, small drawers, and writing surface, over a two door cabinet with offset shelves, bracket feet; the piece decorated with oval flame mahogany panels, inlaid trim, and heart form escutcheons. Circa 1800. {Approximate dimensions: 93" high x 40 3/8" wide x 21 5/8" deep.}.
Condition
Overall condition is very good considering age, some repair and restoration. Some surface and veneer repairs with apparent refinishing, showing previous and later wear. Some loss to dentil moulding. Later pulls, and later nails to reverse.
