19th Century American Ventriloquist Dummy Head. Hand carved painted wood head, black Americana racist caricature depiction, with metal hooks to head and neck base, also with later hanging loop to back of head. Late 19th century. {Approximate dimensions: 9 1/4" high x 4 3/8" wide x 4 1/4" deep.}.
Condition
Significant wear and aging, with loss and repairs throughout. Repairs significant and include later metal brackets to secure the neck to the head. Previous insect damage and loss.
