14k Two-Tone Gold Round Box with Painted Miniature. Yellow and rose gold with engraved decoration, the cover with hand-painted Neoclassical style scene with cherubic soldiers; the interior lined with later transparent brown plastic. Lacking hallmarks, but tested for 14k. 19th century. {Approximate dimensions: 1 1/4" high x 2 1/2" diameter.} {Total weight including cover and lining: 52 grams.}.
Condition
Craquelure to miniature with restoration. Some minor bends to gold. Scratches to underside. Wear to plastic lining with loss to edge.
